The world is changing fast with ever increasing pressures on costs, unpredictable climate, biodiversity loss, new legislation, worker exploitation - to name just a few of the challenges we are now facing. For us to thrive and move forward we must have a positive impact and learn to take more care of the world that we live in and the wonderful people that we work with.

We cannot do this alone and that is why we are investing in building our knowledge, collaborating with our competitors, suppliers, partners, clients and the wider global mobility industry, so that together we can accelerate action on sustainability.

One of the most pressing areas of focus from COP26 is carbon emissions. We know and appreciate that there is a direct impact from shipping people’s belongings around the world and we are going to do our best to limit greenhouse gas emissions in a number of different ways;

• Over 50% of emissions are generated by air freight. Not only will we encourage our clients to use sea freight wherever possible but as a company we will offset every sea and road shipment that we manage.
• We will encourage our clients to reduce the level of household goods that they ship and to move only necessary items.
• We will ensure that wherever possible our airfreight partners use cleaner fuels.
• We will ensure that wherever possible our partners use greener vehicles with lower carbon emissions.
• We will procure partners who focus on using recyclable and recycled materials and we will employ a no plastic and acid free printing policy
• We will utilise technology to create efficiencies and avoid unnecessary journeys

As a company Aqua Moving Services have made a commitment to offset the impact of all our road and sea shipments. We are working with a number of global initiatives that will not only help reduce the global impact of CO2 emissions but will also support local communities in developing countries. Whilst reducing the impact of greenhouse gases and offsetting our carbon footprint is a priority, sustainability encompasses many other aspects.
